Timothy Paul Jones has a PhD from the Billy Graham School of Missions, Evangelism, and Ministry at Southern Seminary. He currently serves as associate vice president for the Global Campus at Southern, where he is a C. Edward Gheens professor of Christian family ministry, for which he has a passion. He says the following about family ministry:
“As the family goes, so goes the church. In an increasingly secularized culture, it is more important than ever to partner with parents to equip children and youth to defend their faith. And that’s what I’ll be training you to do in the Family Ministry track of the Church Leaders Cruise! Join me to understand the worldviews that are currently emerging among children and youth as well as the key challenges to faith that they’ll face in their careers and college classes. These sessions will not, however, stop with theoretical discussions of apologetics and worldviews! You’ll also be equipped to lead events and activities that partner with parents and prepare students to develop faith that lasts.
“It’s apologetics, it’s discipleship, it’s parent ministry, it’s children’s ministry, it’s youth ministry—all woven together into one Family Ministry track. And what better place to learn all of this than on a cruise ship in the Gulf of Mexico! I’m looking forward to seeing you January 13-18 in the Family Ministry track of the Church Leaders Cruise.”
