Bro. Don Chandler was born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas, and graduated with a degree in Bible and religious education from Central Baptist College. In his early ministry, he served as pastor of two churches in Arkansas, one of them during his college years. He also led more than 140 revivals during his four years as a full-time evangelist before being called to the pastorate of Central Baptist Church in 1979.

In his 38 years at Central Church in Conway, Arkansas, the membership has grown and relocated under his leadership. During that time, he has served as president of Arkansas Baptist Pastor’s Conference and president of Faulkner Baptist Association.

Chandler and his wife and ministry partner, Maggie, have three married children (Lori, Michael, and Marlo) and seven grandchildren who are all members of Central Church. In addition to golf and grandchildren, one of his interests outside of ministry is traveling, and he has led more than 500 people on twenty trips to Israel.

Bro. Don truly has a heart for the senior adults in his congregation. He says, “God has graced us with a large number of senior adults (I am one of them). They are wonderful workers, encouragers, friends and church members.  We stand on the shoulders of those who have come before us as we continue the work of our Lord.”

In addition to Bro. Chandler, you’ll enjoy the inspirational music of Steve Green, and encouraging ministry of the Central Baptist College Singers. Plus, Neil Dumas and David Attebery will lead everyone in singing! This year’s conference includes tickets to Sight & Sound Theaters’ special Christmas show, Miracle of Christmas when you register by October 19. Plus, enjoy a fully catered breakfast each morning. And in your free time, walk across the street to Branson Landing for food and shopping.

For more information about the conference, or to register your group, visit disicpleguide.org/senior or call 800.333.1442.
